The Sun Inn is a 16th-century coaching inn on West Street - Faversham's prettiest stretch of Tudor and Georgian frontages - and the Shepherd Neame brewery is a few minutes' walk away.
Britain's oldest brewer, established 1698. Brewery tours run several times a week, it's a short walk from our front door along the cobbled streets. Stay with us, do the morning tour, walk back through Stonebridge Pond.
Historic timber-framed and Georgian houses run from our door all the way to the Guildhall. The route we'd send any first-time visitor down. Faversham is proudly local and supports independent shopkeepers and traders, there are several interesting places to check along the way.
A humble duck pond and small park at the quiet end of town, four minutes west of our door.
The 1574 pillared market hall, probably Faversham's most photographed building. A few minutes east via West Street.
Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, just around the corner. Local producers, fish, veg, and home bakery stalls among others.
