The Guildhall

Maison Dieu
Maison Dieu was founded in 1234 by King Henry III as a wayside hospital and religious house on the old Roman road, Watling Street. It served not only as a hospital, but also as a monastery, hostel, almshouse, and royal lodge.Very few buildings of this type survive today, making it an exceptional window into medieval life, travel, healthcare, and religion.

Hop Festival
